Author’s Note: This poem was inspired by the name of my publication and the inner strength where all of my writing comes from. Wilted roses hold a mythic beauty to me, representing resilience and fragility all at once.
Read while listening for maximum immersion:
Though the rose may be wilted
Brushed up against mar and decay
There she sways through a chilling winter
Where she remains to tell her tales in lilted songs
Oh how her soft whispers dissolve into luminous stars
Though fragile she may seem, her petals are strong
Listen!—Hear how her voice has reached your ears
Dear Reader…How shall you answer her call?

Beautiful, tender and the imagery is delightful ❤️✨
There's a gentle, haunting quality to this, like something whispered across time. I really like the idea of the wilted rose not as weakness, but as resilience marked by experience. That imagery of “soft whispers dissolving into stars” is especially lovely.
This stands as a delicate reflection on strength wrapped in fragility. A lovely tribute to the voice behind your writing.
